Rotary Club of Bhaktapur, in collaboration with Rotary District 3292, Rotaract Club of Bhaktapur, and Inner Wheel Club of Bhaktapur, successfully organized the vibrant and traditional festival Rota Gai Jatra 2025 at the historic Taumadi Square, Bhaktapur on 31st Shrawan 2082.
The event was graced by Chief Guest DG Binod Koirala, alongside enthusiastic participation from various Rotary, Rotaract, and Inner Wheel clubs. With over 300 participants, the celebration showcased Bhaktapur’s unique Newari cultural heritage through the iconic Gaijatra procession, traditional Ghintang Ghisi performances, and social awareness messages.
The program not only highlighted the essence of cultural preservation but also promoted unity, fellowship, and service within the Rotary family. Guests and participants expressed joy in experiencing the festive spirit while engaging in meaningful fellowship.
Rotary members from various clubs expressed their happiness and appreciation for the organizing team, noting that the program was lively, impactful, and memorable. They shared that the event beautifully strengthened Rotary’s image in the community by blending culture, fellowship, and service into a grand district-level celebration.
